Forest Operators Workshop

In April 2008 the RC&D partnered with the Wyoming State Forestry Division to sponsor a workshop on the feasibility of harvesting forest biomass in Wyoming.

E85 Now Available in Northeastern Wyoming!

The RC&D has completed its business analysis of the Northeastern Wyoming ethanol fuels market.  One result of the project is that the Sheridan Farmers Cooperative has begun selling E85 ethanol.

Camelina Field Trials

The RC&D has been working with the UW Cooperative Extension Service to conduct field trials on Camelina sativa, a promising dryland oilseed. This work is leading toward local biodiesel production and production of high protein livestock feed.

 

Biodiesel

RC&D is assisting with the development of a commercial biodiesel plant in Sheridan in 2009 at the Farmer’s Cooperative. Local crops will be grown to supply the plant including, canola, camelina, safflower and sunflower. Old Stoney

RC&D is assisting the Crook County Museum District with strategic planning on the renovation of the Old Stoney schoolhouse in Sundance. The building is set to house the museum, community space and businesses.
