Northeastern Wyoming Resource, Conservation & Development Area

WATERSHEDS

Goal - Promote Healthy and Sustainable Watersheds

All seven Conservation and Natural Resource Districts are actively addressing impaired water bodies or engaged in projects to conserve fish and wildlife. These are comprehensive and long-term efforts with assessment, planning, implementation and monitoring components. The Wyoming Departments of Game and Fish, Environmental Quality and the NRCS are active partners through grants, technical assistance, incentives and cost share programs. Opportunities exist to assist with all aspects of watershed planning and implementation in Northeastern Wyoming.

Objectives

A)     Assist with the development and implementation of 3 watershed and/or species conservation plans by 2009.

Strategies
